What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is an artificial tooth. Dental implants will hugely improve your quality of life. Not only will the appearance improve, you will also be able to chew all foods without any pain or discomfort. The actual implant is a small metallic cylinder, or screw, that substitutes for the natural tooth root. Inserted surgically into the jawbone, it provides a stable base upon which a cap, bridge or denture can be anchored. But unlike dentures, dental implants are fixed, feeling and acting more like your own natural teeth.

Why choose Dental Plus Ireland representing Kreativ Dental for your dental implants?

Dental Implant procedure is an area of excellence at Kreativ Dental Clinic. Over the years our dental specialists have placed thousands of successful dental implants. Our highly advanced dental clinic in Budapest has everything required on-site to place dental implants in a safe, modern and professional environment. We are one of few dental clinics in Budapest to have a dental CT scanner on-site, allowing the clinic to produce 3D images where necessary for accurate assessment of a patient’s suitability for Dental Implants, Bone-Grafts/Sinus Lifts and Root Canal treatments. Dental implants change the way people live. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth which look, feel, and function like and sometimes are stronger than people’s own natural teeth. Dental implants allow the patient to smile with renewed confidence.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are titanium screws, which are inserted into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jawbone, creating a strong foundation for artificial replacement teeth.

What Happens When You Lose a Tooth?
When you lose a tooth, especially a back tooth, you may feel you don’t need to replace it, since no one can see that it’s missing and you have plenty of other teeth. However, there is more bone loss going on under the surface when a tooth is lost. Surrounding each tooth is an alveolar bone that supports the tooth and when the tooth is lost, that bone basically melts away. This is why people who have lost most of their teeth and are not wearing dentures appear to have a caved-in appearance to their mouths.

Besides causing damage to the immediate area, tooth loss affects remaining teeth as well. Teeth create a structure for the face and their loss can shift the surrounding teeth. This can cause bite problems. A lost tooth can also affect facial structures such as the jaw, muscles, jaw joints, and even the skin. If several teeth are lost, it’s not uncommon to suffer from social consequences and poor nutrition.

Why choose Dental implants ?
Natural:          Dental implants look, feel, and function like regular teeth.
Strong:          Dental implants do not decay.
Successful:     Dental implants have a high success rate, in excess of 95 per cent, when placed properly.
Bone Loss:      Dental implants can prevent bone loss.

Appearance:   Dental implants can immediately change your facial appearance to a fuller facial appearance, who can now smile with confidence.

Following successful implant placement, patients can enjoy a lifetime of natural and healthy looking teeth and a renewed ability to smile.

Are you a candidate for dental implants?

If you are considering dental implants, your mouth must be examined by a digitial x-ray. Also your medical and dental history will be reviewed by our dentist. Candidates ideally require healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.
